My apologies about that. The HTML5 build does not do the loading time any favours unfortunately. From my testing it should only take about 5-7 seconds for the first time when tapping on mobile mode (Samsung Galaxy 22s on chromium with accelerated graphics on).
In all honesty I did not even think about that since I figured it would be obtainable within the build itself. Again I am sorry you had to experience that! I am unsure if I am allowed to update it since the publishing period is over and its not a game breaking bug :(

Thank you for the feed back. I much appreciate it! I'll keep this in mind for future builds and projects!

Oh gosh this really made me use my brain power haha. I got sued so many times. Really love the idea and concept of being a rank evaluator to an adventurer. Very creative and has a cute art style. It is very nice and can't wait to see where it goes in the future!

Oh gosh the brave little ones never stopped coming haha. Though I was wondering why my buildings kept dying. Guess I shouldn't skip the Armageddon text scene for that answer haha.
Great concept and idea. Can't wait to see where this goes!

Glad you liked the game :)
Sorry about that and yeah I should have added more clarity and instructions into my game, so I do apologize about that.
Though sometimes trial and error can be a fun process.

Thanks for the valued feed back! I will keep it in mind for future builds / projects!

Thanks I appreciate the positive feedback and glad you enjoyed what there was to enjoy from it! :)
I should have added some more clarity to stats and emphasized better that the Shady dealer's items have chances to give defects such as 0%, -10%, -20%, -30%, -40%, -50%. Though the stats above the adventurers are only based on their base stats and the item's base stats and not the hidden defects as to keep them hidden. Another shrewd technique is to steal any gear they walk in with if you can afford a death or 2 or to send them on a doable quest.
If I continue development on this project I will for sure add more clarity and details such as how the adventurers did aside from living or dying and seeing direct item stats and names when held.

Very cool and interesting. Remind me of Spore's creature stage a bit which is also great. Loved the art style, sounds, and guided journey telling me what I needed to do. Can't wait to see where you take this and its further development!

This is a really creative idea. I have never played a game with this concept before. Besides the few hitches presented due to Itch itself and not your inherent design for the Web build. This game is great and executes the theme well. I really enjoyed the Art, sound, and clarity of the tutorial UI telling me what I needed to do. I myself can learn from this design philosophy as a fellow developer. Thank you for creating this for the Jam. It is truly lovely and I can not wait to see further development on it and where you plan to take it next once this Jam is done despite which ever rank you do achieve!

My deepest apologize it seemed to have been a bug introduced from HTML5 due to the screen locking mechanic. There was no direct fix for it so I had to redo it as a 3D button and use ray casting versus the cursor position.
If you wish to retry and rerate/comment whether its for the better or worse. You are more than welcome to now :)

An interesting and unique concept for a game. Art was fantastic, the sounds that existed were great. I would recommend adding some light or quiet background music to give it an extra kick of liveliness. My only rebuttal would be that it feels more like an action/arcade game than just a Simulation, but other than that is it felt great to play with the exception of the camera locking onto the package causing some visual disorientations.

I hope you take all the meaningful feed back you get from everyone commenting and use it to make the best version of this game going forwards!

I look forward to seeing where it goes and its future success!

Its not a huge bother for me, but you may want to be more mindful of how the text fits in your projects versus your other UI visuals as some people can be super picky over this. I like that there is an objective reminder, but I can not find a way to remove it from the screen as it filling most of the meaningly game play area.
Otherwise I thought you had a very interesting and unique idea. The graphics style was visually appealing, I liked the sounds that are present in the game. I wish it had some sort of background music even if soft/quiet and if the car had some sort of revving noises as if you were driving to give it more of a lively sensation for the players.

I can't wait to see any future developments of this game and how it will be reshaped with meaningful feedback from others as well!

Thank you so much. I am glad you appreciate the options to play it on pc or mobile devices!

I appreciate the morale support and feed back!

I will use it to continue growing as a game dev!

Interesting concept for a game. I wish I could price my honey more than 29.9.
I like the art style and sounds. It gives a relaxing vibe. Though I was unsure what I was supposed to be doing with the flowers.
Looking forwards to seeing future builds!

The design of the game feels very cool and great. My only concern is why are the units I place down being one shotted. I barely have enough gold to even use something new and when I do wait for it. That one also gets one shotted without doing much to the heroes. Is this intentional by design? Though I think it has a great potential once that is clarified.
Looking forwards to seeing future builds of this if its development is continued!

The game seemed pretty cool. I also reached $2682 of $2500 with 8 trips, 0 failed.
With a tutorial to guide you through the steps. The rest of what you need to do is rather intuitive and straight forward.
The theme was on point for a Simulation.
The art style, sounds, and clarity were good.
Looking forwards to seeing what more you will do with this project if you do continue with it!

My apologies about that. I may have poorly explained the rules and task of the game. I will work on that in future projects.
Though my other issue is I ran out of time to add further content such as a proper tutorial level.

Thank you for your feed back! It is much appreciated and I will use it to grow more as a developer going forwards!

Great game with great graphics.
Art style, sounds, and clarity were pretty good.
This is 100% a simulation with your decisions affecting the simulation.

Though I am no sure if the starting credits is too high. I was able to buy 2 blue drills and take mele traits that suited them to demolish my 2nd opponent in 23 seconds resulting in 0 credit gain due to the match being too fast.

I am looking forwards to seeing what becomes of it going forwards.

I am so lost on what to do and where are the children at?
Art wise it looks great. Though it could use some optimizations as its kind of lags from time to time;  jitters every so frames or so even with hardware acceleration enabled on chrome.

My apologies about that. That is one of the things I need to improve with. Is better explaining and being more clear about instructions and game play.

Thank you for your feed back! it is much appreciated. I will look into improving those weaker areas!

Very cool game. Can't wait to see it make top 5. Reminds me a bit of Crazy taxi on the Dream cast.

This game was posted 94 days and updated 33 days ago. It also does not include Simulation in the description. This breaks the rule of not being a new game made within the period of the Sim.

Oh man one moment I am cutting down a tree, another moment I am smoking a tree, and then I am being chased by the Mounties. Though I swear they would never respond that quickly in real life.
I love the art and theme. reminds me heavily of child hood nostalgia with similar graphics to games I used to play on the Nintendo Game Cube.
The sounds are nice as well. I would just recommend adding a menu background music especially if you can find or make something based on the Canadian national anthem within good taste, but other than that its great. I also really love that you credited everything in your description!
I look forward to any future updates!

I like the game, but I am finding it hard to see how the genre requirement was met. Even in your description you only have platformer and visual novel. This game jam had required you to submit a game within the Simulation Genre.

The game play is also super short for a Jam that everyone had 1 month to work on from scratch.

I enjoyed the art style, sounds, atmosphere, and story. I just wish it had more than 1 minute worth of content.

It was interesting but it could use more clarity and better wording.

I found the oiling part to be difficult and not working  I think. There was no clear wording or outlines to let me know I had to turn dial at the very top. It took me at least 5 minutes or so without further instructions or clarity to figure that out on my own for the first customer.

The artwork and sounds seem quirky and cute which I liked.

I am playing on PC.

I am deeply sorry but I could not play this for more than 5 minutes as the game play itself is very frustrating for me:

1. The screen automatically turns when I am jumping causing me to sometimes just fall because I had already started jumping to the next platform causing me just to jump onto nothing and plummet to my doom. The automatic turning is not even in the same direction every time so it is hard to adapt to it as well which only adds to my frustration to play this.

2. One of the platforms seems to be bugged as well. On a Yellow Triangle one despite landing in the middle my character went straight through it as if it had no physics plummeting to my demise.

Overall I do not want to wait for the screen to automatically turn first before jumping as it forces me to slow down the pace of the game from what I want to do. Which is also frustrating for a game to do on purpose if that is the case.

Please add an option to disable this to make it a reasonable game to play.

I did at least enjoy the art and sound of the game as its redeeming factors beyond just the game play.

On a personal note I find the little balls that seem to be acting as guides to be unintuitive as the next platform is just right there and acts as more of a distraction from seeing the platforms as clearly as need be.

I liked it for what it was given it was within the Simulation theme. The only thing I would change about it is to add background music even if subtle and more sound effects.
The only sounds that happened when clicking on a button or when the ball was bouncing at least that were audible to me at maximum volume on my laptop.
So in brief for future builds in my recommendation and opinion if you plan to continue this:
- Add hover noises to buttons not just clicking sound effects
- Add background music for the menu areas and the tennis match

-  maybe even some running/dashing noises, grunting noises from the ref when the ball goes out or scores, and cheering from the spectators when its getting exciting with lots of back and forths to make it more lively.

That is very odd indeed! I tested it in the browser on both PC and my phone before submitting, and everything was working fine. Now, only the PC browser version seems broken, though it still runs perfectly fine within my editor.

I suspect it might be an HTML5 export quirk or some sudden hosting interference, so I'm digging into what's causing it. Thank you so much for the constructive feedback and for letting me know—I really appreciate it!
