Ha I like this take on the theme, nice job. The feedback when shooting is really good!

Thank you Beefpants😁 Love that name btw

Hey thanks! That means a lot!🥹

Yeah, maybe I'll consider exploring this idea further!

Nice job for your first jam! You're right, ideas are hard but you get better and better each time! I hope to see you back next year!

Your description says that this was not made for the jam... Sorry I can't give it a good rating!

Thanks JohnnyG!!!

Yeah it turned off after one turn for me, but I died shortly after so it didn't make much difference xD

Super addicting!

Such a unique concept! It's very relaxing :)

Love these kind of speedrun games! Nice job! (And that you're using PGE3!)

This is sweet! I always like just upgrading one power up to the max. Also love that you're using PGE3!!!

I got out! Woohoo!

Well... now I'm sad! I hope this game isn't about you!

This is actually REALLY hard, haha! But unique take on the theme!

It was fun giving a customer all the shops money, lol. This is very well done, congrats!

Just happened to me too! When I chose Conway's power up, everything exploded lol

Ok yeah that's fair! I guess to me, the maker, it is simple - but not as much to fresh eyes.

I could see how it could be slowed down to be more strategic, but yeah my personal preference was to make something fast-paced with quick decisions!

I was also hoping the player would be able to pick up on the mechanics just by playing, instead of having to read a paragraph beforehand.

So the thought process would be something like: "Oh when I pick up a coin, it starts losing value, so I need to move quickly! If I step on the red tiles, all coins start losing value quickly, so I need to avoid them. Ah, when I exchange more coins at once, the multiplier shown for each coin is higher, so I need to balance time spent gathering coins with trying to exchange more at once"

Then once completing the run, they would be motivated to get a better rank since they understand the rules. But if that didn't happen, it's the game's fault, not the player's!

I appreciate the conversation - it will help me make better stuff in the future!

Thanks!  I did add a quick rules screen at the beginning to explain how to play. Just curious, which parts didn't make sense? Not that I can change it now of course, but just curious!

The vibe reminds me of the old slenderman games from like 20 years ago. Nice!

This is freaking hilarious! Best take on the "Change" theme yet xD

Not sure how to guess the right one without seeing the monster move - maybe I'm doing it wrong!

This game is epic! The swing feedback when you send the opponent flying is perfect, similar to Super Smash Bros when you hit the perfect smash attack!

Ohh I see now! Yeah that is way more interesting using the reverse mechanic

DANG I haven't even gotten 380 lol. You are the current reigning champ!!! Thanks for playing!

Oh lol I thought the point was to collect ducks. What was I supposed to do? I'll definitely try again!

I made a square snowflake! Who knew?

Watching it draw out the default onelonecoder patterns was pretty cool. And the fact that this is a custom language is very impressive

This reminds me of Javidx9's submission last year where it is just really hard Tetris xD   When the board changed it did throw me a bit and caused me to press the wrong buttons a few time. The Tetris gameplay basics are well implemented!

Dang this is crazy you made a game for the real Sega Saturn console with your own engine! Very impressive

That was really fun once you get some upgrades!!! I saved 63 poor ducks from getting squashed by asteroids xD

Lol this is hilarious. I couldn't figure out how to let the passengers out, but it was fun figuring out how to control the bus and crashing in to things

Kind of crazy you made this on your phone!? Nice job. I got to the end and then broke the game by going out of bounds, but it let me scroll back and forth and admire the very nice scenery :D

Wow, that was sweet! I actually downloaded your source code because I want to learn all the tricks! I love seeing what people are able to do with PGE3!

Ok that is awesome, I will definitely check that out! Thanks for the tip!

Wow this looks incredible! Nice work! I'd love to see the source code for how you utilized PGE3!

I'm also glad you posted the link to the place you got your shaders. I want to learn more about how to use them and that site has lots of cool tutorials.

Haha sure I'd say you're a winner xD

I was wanting to add a start screen that explained the rules. Maybe I'll still add it as Javidx9 said small changes afterward are still ok.

Thanks for the feedback!

Wait a minute, there's no learning allowed in video games!!!

Also, the limit as h -> 0 equation gave me nightmare flashbacks to high school xD

SHOTS FIRED with the "British" difficulty setting!

I had to look up why Othello embodies change, because I am uncultured lol. But after looking it up I love this take on the theme! As usual, nice work!

Fun short game! But I don't think it was made with this jam in mind. Maybe I'm wrong - let me know!
