Tiny Logic
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Every gate is simulated. Every computer you build actually computes. Start with a battery and an LED, wire up transistors, and keep going until your own CPU is running your own code.

No emulator underneath. TINY-32 is a full 32-bit RISC-V computer made of 93,338 transistors. It passes the official RISC-V test suite and runs real DOOM at full speed. It's free and open source: tiny-logic-doom · tiny-nes

Early access is half the price of the full release, includes every update, and every itch.io buyer gets a free Steam key when it launches. The price goes up at the Steam launch.
Solo project, built with its players. Talk to me on Discord or Instagram @whoismuzzy.
Installing
Windows: Defender may flag Tiny Logic as Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.C!ml. It's a false positive from the cloud machine-learning scanner (the "ml"): the engine compiles your circuit into machine code while you play, which looks unusual to new-file heuristics. Your PC's virus definitions find no malware, and every build is sent to Microsoft for review. Code signing is coming.
- Make a folder, for example
C:\Games\Tiny Logic. - Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Exclusions → Add an exclusion → Folder, and pick it.
- Extract the zip into that folder and run
TinyLogic.exe. On "Windows protected your PC," click More info → Run anyway.
Already deleted? Windows Security → Protection history → Tiny Logic → Actions → Restore. Prefer not to add an exclusion? Totally fair: wait for the signed build, or use the itch app.
Mac: not notarized yet. Right-click the app → Open. If blocked: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Linux: extract and run (X11 and Wayland). Needs glibc 2.38+ for now (Ubuntu 24.04, Debian Trixie or newer). Older distros are supported from the next update.
Requirements: any 64-bit Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon or Intel) or Linux PC from the last ~8 years with 8 GB RAM. 4+ cores recommended for the big CPUs and DOOM.
Privacy: anonymous stats and crash reports are sent only if you say yes, and you can change it any time. Privacy policy.

Very cool game, I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more as a kid when my mind was far more full of wonder.

HI Everyone
Feedback for feedback?
I'll play your game, leave honest feedback, and I'd appreciate it if you could do the same for my game.
Here's my game: /__site/evernotebot.itch.io/secondbrain
What are the next games?
what happens at HEX u GUY CANT INPUT AFTER E MANGG
Hi, I have even more feedback: my 10 year old did not know logic functions and was initially very confused by chapter 2. Maybe aging some more information about what is a logic function, what is an input and an output, how do you combine functions, would be a good idea.
On a side note, are my comments useful? Is there a better place to write?
Yes discord would be a better place for feedback. discord.gg/tinylogic
Is this like a fantasy computer? Will it be possible to compile the end product into a standalone executable? It's a very neat concept for sure.
Well to even get doom running I had to compile c code to a bin to run in the game so i'd say you'd be pretty capable :)
What I'm asking if we can export an .exe from Tiny Logic that we could upload to Itch or Steam? That would be a neat feature.
I love this, and I love that you are translating it in so many languages (it makes it much more accessible to kids). Having played a few lessons, I have some comments:
- placing the answers above the questionsis was really confusing to me
- the Italian translation needs to be reviewed by a native speaker, some translation choices are really odd (e.g. anello for circuit and varco for gap)
I bought the full version to play with my son and now I have more comments:
- it would be nice to be able to rewind several steps in a lesson, impatient kids sometimes click around before reading
- will it be possible to play with another person using one account? Or do I have to buy another copy of the game to build something with my son?
Hey Dear Gaming Mates, there is 99% off on the Game For Elites, the most expensive game.
It’s a great opportunity to join elites and compete with Billionaires for only 100$

Excellent program. I have a question or suggestion: when I am wiring a circuit, I notice two things (which I either don't know how to do correctly, or I would like to submit as a suggestion). First, I cannot set the path exactly how I want it (meaning, being able to define each segment of the wire's path using mouse clicks). Lastly, when I want to connect a wire to the middle of another one, the program forces me to drag it to a component's node. Since the program automatically decides how the wire is drawn, I cannot route it the way I want. If there is already a way to do what I just described, I apologize for my clumsiness. Otherwise, please take it as a suggestion. It is an excellent simulator. One of the very best I have seen!! Thank you.
This looks really neat but it asks for my age before I can even begin. What is the reason for that?
we use analytics in our game and the legality or if you can even agree to the analytics and other game metrics rely on you being old enough to provide it and consent to providing it.
That makes sense, thanks! Just weary with all the age verification/surveillance stuff going on.
This would be so cool in schools!
This is so insanely cool thank you for creating such a gift of accessible knowledge and learning! I just bought the full version and the way you design the levels to be engaging and give just that little bit of incentive to repeat lessons with the star goals is so smart. I feel like I'm going to learn so much from 100%ing this game and I cant wait to see what comes next in future updates and any other projects you decide to tackle.
Guys I just made most expensive game ever, I dare y’all if you consider urself as an elite then buy my game and join “BILLIONAIRES’ LEADERBOARD”
you know how rude it is to spam advertisement of your own game under other's game's when they are not even related to each other?
Aight man nvm
Yes, no advertising.
will there be a sandbox mode in future, or it already in the released version? i just tested a demo version, and I want to know if a future update will have a sandbox mode (where you could build anything you want, with no predetermined step-by-step), btw, good project, i really like it.
That’s in the full game 😭
Cool game, I played the demo, and I genuinely liked it so much, that I bought the full game. I have never found such a game on itch. Going from transistors and electricity as if we are a complete novice at electronics all the way to eventually developing our very own programmable CPU, is pretty sick.
Very cool, but I can't download it to Windows for some reason
What's the issue? if you join the discord I could further help you debug :)
i understood it just inthernet problem
:1
Recommended game, really fun and usefull to learn more about computers!
Hi dev, i played demo and reeally liked it, but its very inconvient for me to buy anything on itchio, will steam release be soon?
You will revieve a free steam key once the game is released on steam which is planned for around December. But its cheaper to buy it right now in early access
a free steam key is recieved only if you buy the game on itch right
Correct, It's a benefit considering most people play there games on steam and not itch :) but itch will stay supported as well
OK, that was a very important information for me to buy your game. Consider it done.
Hey, I've bought the full game on Itch and it doesn't allow me to download the full game, is there anything I should do to make it work?
Thanks in advance and Good demo so far :) !
discord… discord.gg/tinylogic only place I can help you considering this usually doesn’t happen like ever
/docs/buying/already-bought
I cherish considerations of gratitude my friend ^,^
Played the demo, bought it and I have to say the game is pretty cool, maybe even a bit better than Turing Complete.
I have to say though, I dislike the flashy animations and effects from the lessons, and I wish there was an option to disable them, or have the ability to skip lessons or do them unguided. (But I guess that's what sandbox is for)
Overall a very cool tool disguised as a game :)
I'd also like to add that I hate that wires cannot overlap and I have to space things out by a lot
wires can overlap though…
ammmmmmmmmaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing
love it
to people who think this is just a game:
This is seriously impressive and can rival actual professional digital logic simulators and for the price of 10$ its honestly a steal
Do you have any plans to release on Steam?
On the page, it says all early access it buyers get Steam for free planned for mid-late November
I bought it right away.I’ll be cheering you on until the Steam release. You are a Korean who likes games
Bug report:
This should be a functional AND gate. Also, the right-hand transistor is outputting 12mA and the LED is reading 14mA in. Weird.
not a bug, it's actually real transistor behavior 🙏🏽 your LED sits after the last transistor's output (emitter), so when B is on, B's base current flows through the base, out the emitter and straight into your LED, even with A off. that's also your 12 vs 14 mA: emitter current = collector current + base current, so B's ~2 mA joins in. a real breadboard does the same thing. fix: put the LED before the transistors (+ → resistor → LED → transistor → transistor → ground), each input through a resistor into a base. I built both in game: yours lights on 0/1, the fixed one is a perfect AND. for bug reports please use the discord (/bug), it's on the game page and in the download instructions, so I can actually track them: discord.gg/tinylogic
Thanks for answering! The fact that some current actually flows between gate and emitter, and that it's enough current to light an LED is kinda funky!
Played the demo, this game is something I'd been hoping to exist for so long. Will be checking out the full game!
the future is here
this person does not sleep
this is fu*king crazy BTW I'm a game dev and learning computer science (i have a basic knowledge about logic gates , cpu architecture but very good at programming) and doing some engineering too so I know how hard this shit is.
This is wild. Going from a single transistor all the way to running DOOM on a CPU you built yourself is such a cool idea. It's clear how much work went into this, especially as a solo dev. Congrats on the early access launch!
thank you, there’s bigger and better things to come especially as a I get more reach and resources to build the game. Thank you again for your comment! :)
That’s an amazing game idea, i’ll definetly check it out
Thank you, I hope once you do that you do enjoy it :)
